Event Information

This year's Academy will be hosted in St. Meinrad, IN, just 60 miles west of Louisville, KY. Our conference center is nestled in the hills and beautiful wooded area of Southern Indiana. Our facilities include full sleeping and meeting space, as well as a weight room, recreation area/basketball courts, TV lounges, and more!

Schedule

Friday, January 16

Friday night begins with a welcome reception and orientation at 8 p.m. All attendees need to plan to be in St. Meinrad by 7:45 p.m. to check in and register. For brothers flying in to Louisville, flights need to arrive between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. If this is a concern, please contact the Director of Chapter Services.

Saturday, January 17

Saturday begins with breakfast at 8:00 a.m., and the program will kick off at 8:30 a.m. The focus for programming on Saturday will be built around the five core competencies of an effective "A" and how to implement those competencies in leading your chapter/colony. Lunch and dinner will be included, as well as some recreational time and breaks throughout the day.

Sunday, January 18

The third day of the Academy also begins with breakfast at 8:00 a.m., and the program will kick off at 8:30 a.m. Sunday is a much more interactive day, with programs focusing more on how to implement change, deal with bad situations, manage meetings and retreats, and inspire future generations to follow in your shoes. Work on your Goal and Action Plan will begin with an opportunity for one on one assistance from our faculty and staff. Again, lunch and dinner will be included, as well as breaks throughout the day.

Monday, January 19

The final day of the Academy will be the culmination of the workshops, presentations, discussions, and project work done over the last 60 hours. Graduation and final farewells will wrap things up and those who drove will hit the road. Buses will leave for Louisville for those "A"s' who flew in. Again, buses will be scheduled to leave at noon, so please make sure all flights are for after 2 p.m. to allow for travel time and security check-in at the airport.
