Travel Information

To support our "A"s attendance, the Fraternity will compensate travel costs. We prefer that as many brothers as possible drive so that the rising costs of airline tickets can be avoided, but some brothers (particularly those on the West Coast) simply cannot drive that distance. Below is the policy on driving and on flying.

Driving

For those brothers who choose to drive, including those from all chapters and colonies in regions V and VI, the Fraternity will provide a per mile reimbursement for you to get to the Academy. The reimbursement rate will be $0.15 per mile to and from St. Meinrad. which should cover all gas costs for the trip. For each additional person in your car, you will receive an additional $0.05 per mile. Ideally you would be able to pick up other "A"s on the way down or carpool from one location to make the drive easier.

For example, the "A"s from Oshkosh, Marquette, Lake Forest, and Northwestern could all meet in Chicago and the "A" with the most reliable vehicle would drive the rest of the way. That provides you with the opportunity to get to know one another, share stories, and not have to drive the whole way by yourself.

Flying

For brothers who are simply unable to drive to St. Meinrad, the Fraternity will cover airline fares to an extent. To book airline tickets, contact:
