Oftentimes one of the most prohibitive concerns of Greek life is the cost of membership. To combat this, during the colonization process, all programming, events, receptions and activities are paid for by the Fraternity. Delta Chi does not ask the colony to pay for its own expansion, unlike some other NIC organizations of similar size and reputation.

Every member, whether he belongs to a colony or chapter, is assessed the one-time initiation fee of $200, but Founding Fathers do not pay the usual $90 Associate Member Dues.  Founding Fathers also receive Delta Chi tee shirts, Associate Member pins, copies of the Cornerstone, reference materials and position notebooks for officers and committee chairmen all at no cost.
