A Tradition of Alumni Involvement

An initiated member of Delta Chi is a brother for life, not just while he's in college. The role of an alumnus is very different than that of a student member. The challenges of starting a career and a family can make it difficult for younger alumni to be involved. Yet brothers of varying ages and experiences can find different ways to support Delta Chi and their chapters.

Some brothers serve as mentors to undergraduates, while others serve as local advisors for chapters, and a select few are elected to serve as international officers or Regents on Delta Chi's Board of Regents. Others contribute financially through the Life Loyal Program or donations directly to the Fraternity. Any way you look at it, the values of Delta Chi compel our brothers to stay involved as alumni.

Life Loyal Delta Chi

Brotherhood does not end when one graduates. Rather, it opens up to the entire Fraternity. The Life Loyal program is designed to engage our alumni in supporting the ongoing leadership and values programming provided by the Fraternity. There are perks to being a Life Loyal member, but none of them will outweigh the feeling of knowing that you are providing future generations with the amazing fraternity experience you had as a young man.

Alumni Board of Trustees

Each Delta Chi chapter and colony is required to have a full Alumni Board of Trustees (ABT), designed to assist the undergraduate members in the various areas of chapter operations and programming. Although the size of an ABT varies from chapter to chapter, its role to support the chapter leaders to live up to the values and standards of Delta Chi is consistent. An ABT consists of alumni, chapter officers, faculty members, parents of members, friends and community leaders, all supporting the efforts of Delta Chi. The collective efforts of people like this are one reason that so many Delta Chi chapters are successful year after year.

Alumni Chapters & Associations

Alumni Chapters & AssociationsEven after graduation, the opportunity to be involved in a social organization is at your fingertips with the existence of an alumni chapter or alumni association in your area. Although alumni chapters and alumni associations are two different things, they can both provide significant opportunities for friendship and socialization for an alumnus.

Alumni Chapter - An alumni chapter is a group of Delta Chi alumni from various graduating chapters living in one particular area that come together to form an organized body. Cities like Chicago, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Tampa, Washington, D.C., and Dallas are all homes to alumni chapters, and more are on the way. Alumni chapters are official chapters of Delta Chi, and thus have voting rights at the International Convention and Regional Leadership Conferences.

Alumni Association - An alumni association is a group of Delta Chi alumni from one particular chapter that wishes to remain active through organized receptions, tailgates, reunions, and newsletters. Since alumni associations are limited to alumni from just one chapter, their interests are represented at International Conventions by the vote of their undergraduate chapters.

The Delta Chi Quarterly

The Delta Chi Quarterly The Quarterly is Delta Chi's official fraternity magazine. Published since 1903, the Quarterly is the main resource the Fraternity uses to communicate with its alumni across the world. All members of Delta Chi who join the Life Loyal Program receive all four issues per year of the Quarterly as a benefit of membership.
