Nolan Spaenhower Hired as Coord. of Volunteer Engagement

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – The Delta Chi Fraternity and Executive Director Jerod Breit are excited to welcome the addition of Nolan Spaenhower as the Coordinator of Volunteer Engagement, effective January 9, 2023.

“Nolan is a dynamic thinker and creative problem solver. His experiences as a campus-based and a headquarters professional make him a great addition to our robust team, said Ross Dickneite, Director of Alumni Engagement and Relations. “I look forward to seeing all that Nolan will accomplish at Delta Chi.”

In this role, Spaenhower will serve Delta Chi by designing and implementing recruitment strategies to fill volunteer vacancies within the Fraternity. This includes training new volunteers and assisting in the development of an effective chapter and constituent engagement program. He will plan and execute special projects under the direction of the Director of Alumni Engagement and Relations while developing processes for continued improvement.

A native of Illinois, Spaenhower,  joins the Delta Chi team after serving as the Coordinator of Fraternity & Sorority Life at the University of Missouri (Mizzou) where he advised the Panhellenic and Multicultural Greek Councils. Prior to his time at Mizzou, Spaenhower worked as a Coordinator of Fraternity & Sorority Life at Michigan State University where he advised the IFC and was awarded New Advisor of the Year in 2022. Before his time working as a campus-based professional, Spaenhower interned at Phi Sigma Kappa and was a member of the chapter services and education team at Delta Kappa Epsilon.

Spaenhower brings with him a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville (SIUE) and a master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration. While at SIUE, he joined Sigma Phi Epsilon and spent two years on the Interfraternity Council as the VP of Philanthropy and Community Service. He was later named the Interfraternity Council Outstanding Leader of the Year.

In his free time, Spaenhower enjoys traveling, photography, hiking, and spending time with his family and friends. He loves facilitating programs around the country including his past experience facilitating at Delta Chi Regional Leadership Conferences and “A”s’ Academies.
